THOUSANDAIRE RESIDENCE
Beautiful manor built in 1810, between the small beach of the center and the port of Le Crotoy, place of residence of Charles Hubert Millevoye.
Here is a building to be seen absolutely during a visit in the commune of Le Crotoy. This manor was built in 1810 and was the residence of the poet Charles Hubert Millevoye. It is nowadays occupied by the descendants of the artist, known for works such as La Chute des feuilles and Le Poète mourant. He was also one of the first poets to initiate Romanticism. It is on the Quai Léonard, between the small beach in the town centre and the port of Le Crotoy, that you can contemplate this magnificent building which, let's not forget, was built on the ruins of the castle.
