HYDROELECTRIC PLANT
A hydroelectric power station, classified as a historical monument, still in working order, transformed into a museum in Long.
Thanks to the exploitation of peat, the commune is rich at the end of the nineteenth century and decides to make it available to the inhabitants: a railway station in 1900 and a power station that allows each dwelling to dispose of running water and electricity on June 7, 1903. The supply of continuous current in 110 V will cease in 1968 and the supply of water in 1974. The hydroelectric station, classified as a historic monument, but still under construction, has been transformed into a museum.
