The belfry of Lucheux is one of the oldest in northern France.
Dating from the 13th century, the Lucheux belfry is one of the oldest in northern France. Above all, it is the only belfry under which a road passes, earning it the name of "porch belfry". It is said that celebrities such as Joan of Arc and Louis XI have been guests here, as history has unfolded. A building with a warlike aesthetic, this belfry has retained all its charm of yesteryear. Like its counterparts on the Somme, it has been a Unesco World Heritage Site since 2005. And it's definitely worth the detour!
