THE CHURCH OF ST. CHRISTOPHER
Romanesque and Gothic church with a portal in Mareuil-Caubert.
The church, a blend of Romanesque and Gothic styles, was built in the 16th century. Previously, it was a prioral church belonging to the Benedictine abbey of Breteuil. It features a 12th-century portal protected by a 16th-century timber-framed canopy, with a tympanum showing Christ in the midst of the four evangelists represented by the tetramorph (John's eagle, Mark's lion, Luke's bull and Matthew's angel). It was listed as a historic monument in 1908.
