TOWN HALL
A very surprising Art Deco building, built between 1927 and 1931 by Parisian architects Charles Duval and Emmanuel Gonse. This is the eighth city hall built since the Middle Ages. It was partially destroyed during the First World War and the Battle of Amiens. It is now listed as a historic monument. We appreciate the exterior facades, made of bricks from the region's brickworks; the interior facades, decorated with decorative heads by Raymond Couvègnes; the magnificent hall, the mural painting by Maurice Pico and its mouldings; and the town council and wedding hall.
