Restaurant with a nice terrace offering nicely worked plates

Country colors reminiscent of estaminets, a pretty terrace and a friendly, well-stocked wine list: this typical red-brick bistro is a real eye-catcher! What's more, the plates served are beautifully crafted and the flavors are on point with the chef's country terrine, ficelle picarde, breaded camembert, superb entrecôtes, pavé de boeuf and AAAAA grilled andouillette! The dessert menu delights the taste buds with homemade chocolate mousse "my grandmother's recipe" or crème brûlée flambéed with green Chartreuse!

Très bonne surprise dans ce petit bourg picard ! Une excellente cuisine, des produits frais, des plats copieux, de très bons vins, un personnel très aimable et efficace, des prix raisonnables, what else ?! :) Les propriétaires sont charmants et intéressants, des passionnés de cuisine et d'oenologie. Il y a également une belle terrasse, juste en face de l'Historial de la Grande Guerre.
Ils ont maintenant aussi 2 superbes chambres d'hôte à proximité du bistrot, La Porte de Bretagne.
J'aurai pu mettre 5☆ mais le terme "Exceptionnel" sur ce site me gêne un peu... En tout cas, n'hésitez pas, ça vaut le détour !

Restaurant très bien placé sur la place de l'Historial. Cuisine régionale très bonne (en particulier la carbonnade). Formule à prix attractif le midi. Seul bémol le service un peu long.

Very pleasant terrace and very good value for money. A mention very well for the policy of rates of wines! To give pleasure with very good wines without breaking and especially 2 to 3 times cheaper than elsewhere... A restaurant that has all inclusive!
