It was the only brewery in Picardy for a long time. Pierre De Clerk acquired it in 1928. It was a brewery-malterie. The owner came from a long line of farmers-brewers located in Hondeghem near Hazebrouck in the north. From generation to generation, the brewery has evolved considerably.
