CHURCH OF SAINT-DENIS
This Latin cross-shaped church, with an apse facing north-east/south-west, has been a listed monument since 1910.
The church, in the shape of a Latin cross, with an apse facing north-east/south-west, has been listed as a Monument Historique since 1910. It was rebuilt in the 16th century to plans by architect Jehan Valon, at the request of Jean VIII de Créquy. Note the magnificent sculpted cross-arches, as well as the 44 hanging keystones, also sculpted, representing either saints or coats of arms. With its position overlooking the city, it seems to defend and protect it. In any case, it's well worth a visit!
