ARCHAEOLOGICAL CENTRE
Archaeological center with state collections that hosts the riches from the excavations of the Gallo-Roman site.
The Centre was originally designed to house the riches from the excavations of the internationally renowned Gallo-Roman site of Ribemont-sur-Ancre. Thanks to the centre's exhibition rooms and digital archaeology, you can visualise in 3D the lives of the thousands of Gallic warriors and Roman pilgrims who trod the site 2,000 years ago. Today, the Centre also manages the State collections and houses the archaeological furniture from excavations carried out throughout the Somme department, including the Seine-Nord Europe Canal construction site.
