ST. PETER'S CHURCH

The first church was built in the 12th century, then rebuilt in the 16th century, protected in 1846 and destroyed during the First World War. It was finally rebuilt between 1931 and 1933 by Parisian architects: Charles Duval and Emmanuel Gonse. The flamboyant choir has been restored to its original state. As for the nave, transept and bell tower, 64 m high, made of reinforced concrete with brick panel infills, they have been given a real facelift, now with resolutely contemporary lines.
