HOSPICE CHAPEL
Chapel with a chestnut vault in the shape of an overturned ship's hull and numerous statues, including that of Saint James.
The Rue hospice was built in the 12th century to accommodate the poorest pilgrims. The chapel features a beautiful chestnut vault in the shape of an inverted ship's hull, supported by runners decorated with the insignia of pilgrims to Santiago de Compostela. There are also several statues of St. James, St. Nicholas and the Virgin and Child. The building's facade was rebuilt in the late 19th century in a Flemish style. The chapel was listed as a Monument Historique on June 2, 1921.
