It is the "Paris-Dakar of running" every year, with the crossing of the Somme Bay and back at low tide.
It is nicknamed "the Paris-Dakar of running". This formidable event in the heart of the Bay of the Somme, is full every year with 6,500 runners (this maximum figure is reached weeks in advance, anticipate your registration which begins in late January). At low tide, participants make a 17 km round trip between Saint-Valery-sur-Somme and Le Crotoy, with their feet in the sand, the mud, the current of Saint-Valery and the Dien, the small river of Le Crotoy. The effort is real, you have to go around the mudflats or over the rieux.
