COURTGAIN DISTRICT
A neighborhood of narrow, steep streets and small houses decorated around the theme of fishing and the sea.
This charming, little-known neighborhood used to be the sailors' neighborhood. Its name means "small pay". There are narrow and steep streets with small colourful and sometimes decorated houses on the theme of fishing and the sea. To be even more in the mood, sneak from the Place des Pilotes in a narrow passage between two houses to climb up to the sailors' calvary. You will enjoy one of the most beautiful views of the bay and the city. This sloping area is much less crowded than the quays or the medieval city, which is also what makes its charm.
