The Saint-Jean-de-Luz Tourist Office provides information on the whole of the Basque Country. Superbly located in the heart of the lively Halles district, you'll find a personalized welcome and a presentation of all the events that punctuate the year. You'll be able to get a feel for the town on your own, by following the 20 signs that make up a circuit of the town, with commentary. Guided tours of the bay, its history and architecture, by reservation for groups. In July, August and during the school vacations, guided tours for individuals and families will enable you to discover all the riches of Luz.
The towns of Saint-Jean-de-Luz and Ciboure have been awarded the "Villes et Pays d'Art et d'Histoire" (Towns and Lands of Art and History) label: this recognition commits the two towns to promoting their heritage and raising public awareness, as well as implementing activities, including the recruitment of guide-lecturers. A great cultural program! All year round, a wide range of events make Saint-Jean-de-Luz, long known as "la belle endormie", a dynamic city: from the International Film Festival in October, to operations such as "Hiver et Printemps au restaurant" (Winter and Spring in the Restaurant) to discover gastronomic restaurants at attractive and accessible prices, Saint-Jean-de-Luz is a destination of choice for everyone and a must for your stay in the Basque Country!
