MAISON DITE LOHOBIAGUE ENEA OU MAISON LOUIS XIV
It is in this house that in 1660, was lodged the young king Louis XIV after his marriage
Johannis de Lohobiague, mayor of Saint-Jean-de-Luz and heir to a large family of notables who were at the same time shipowners, merchants and privateers, had a house built from 1643 onwards that was so sumptuous that it aroused the jealousy of one of his successors who, ten years later, had the new Town Hall built against the previous one. It was in this house that in 1660, the young king Louis XIV was accommodated after his marriage, then in January 1701, Philippe V of Spain.
