Botanical garden featuring plants from 5 continents and horticultural selections, with ocean and mountain views

Designed in the 1990s, the Botanical Garden of Saint-Jean-de-Luz is dedicated to preserving and presenting the typical flora of the 2.5-hectare coastline, maritime facades and coastal moors in their natural environment. Plants from 5 continents and horticultural selections complete the picture, along the Sentier littoral and set on the Archilua cliff, with an exceptional view of the ocean and mountains. The Maison Jean Bost houses exhibitions, conferences and events.

Vous pouvez également y accéder à pied via un tronçon du sentier du littoral (une partie n'est malheureusement pas accessible). Le jardin est petit
Particularly attractive and educational botanical garden. It is the only French botanical garden metropolis located directly on the Atlantic coast, allowing the important vegetable environments seaside in order to protect them. The garden in which the environments and plants are presented is particularly harmonious. It is named after Paul Jovet (1896-1991), botanist national Natural History Museum of natural history (the Jardin Des Plantes de Paris) which dedicated his life under consideration flora in France, particularly the Basque Country but also under consideration of urban flora that it was one of the precursors.
