Basque excellence since 1660. The origins of the Basque macaroon date back to the 17th century with King Louis XIV. A jealously guarded recipe handed down from generation to generation, today Andoni and Miguel Telleria-Adam are the guardians of tradition, while at the same time innovating. These delicious, soft, melt-in-the-mouth macaroons, the only genuine "Pare Gabea", are made daily by hand using family know-how, as are the Basque cakes, tourons, chocolates and praline spreads. It's impossible to leave the Basque Country without a box of macaroons!
