The Maria Casarès house, where the actress lived from 1961 to 1996, has been a multi-cultural venue since 2006, welcoming artists in residence and offering tours and shows. Every year, a festival is organized from July 22 to August 16, 2024, featuring dinner and a show, theater workshops for children, aperitifs and show snacks, and a sound walk. The program evolves with the seasons, based on strong values linked to heritage, theater, landscape and education, as well as the challenges of today's world. It's a place of exchange and conviction.

The Maison Maria Casarès is a polycultural site located in the heart of the Domaine de La Vergne, on the banks of the Charente river in Alloue. It is the former home of Maria Casarès, one of the greatest stage actresses of the second half of the 21st century. The site, which combines theater, heritage, landscape and education, was awarded the "Centre culturel de rencontre" label in 2008 and the "Maison des Illustres" label in 2011. It promotes encounters between players in these cultural fields. Open seasonally, the house welcomes artists from the Jeunes Pousses program in spring, to support them in their theatrical creation. During the Summer Festival, it offers shows, heritage tours and other events. In autumn, the site is transformed into a creative space for established playwrights. It should be noted that it only opens its doors to the public for the Summer Festival, European Heritage Days and residency events. An address worth discovering!
