Dominique Besnehard, together with Marie-France Brière and Jean Mardikian, has created a warm, human-sized event that takes place every year at the end of August, where the stars of the big screen come to enjoy the mild climate and the activity of the streets of Angoulême. Ideal for meeting stars in all simplicity and celebrating the French-speaking world of the seventh art, this festival mixes styles: drama, comedy, films for all audiences and open-air screenings, animation, everyone will find what they are looking for.

It is the second time that I take part in this festival and I relatively disappointed. The film that contest are shown in the City and more no presentation, no dialogues with directors or actors, one us dishes film in the smallest room (session 19:30) and " basta". When you want to see the actors, they take refuge evenings VIP... damage and nothing to do with the edition 2009 I had appreciated. The selection of films is still very well.
Familiar film festivals (voluntary for many years in Fantastic' art gerardmer, festival in Beaune, after known Cognac) I find freshness in this festival and appreciate the sessions in the open air. The invited artists are very availability, easily letting themselves approach (contrary to Beaune) you will encounter them everywhere in town, especially at the end of the evening.
