The Saint-Pierre cathedral in Angoulême has a facade with different detailed carved plaques that follow each other in 4 rows

A beautiful Romanesque edifice, this cathedral, built on the rocky outcrop of Angoulême, is a must-see landmark, like a lighthouse watching over the town. Its façade is a masterpiece of Romanesque art, and you can spend hours detailing the various sculpted plaques that follow one another in 4 rows, the highest of which is occupied by an imposing Christ in glory surrounded by the horsemen of the Apocalypse. Inside, don't miss a visit to the cathedral's treasury, staged by Jean-Michel Othoniel and featuring some 150 liturgical objects.

A voir absolument
magnificent façade despite the lack of retreat to take pictures; email you should to contemplate the masterpieces that are the romanesque sculptures details in their details, without forgetting the side gates and enjoying the harmony of the interior architecture and domes
Magnificent cathedral to be avoided for only collecting itself there it is victim of its beauty and is invaded tourists
very well is worth seeing very pretty stained-glass windows and outside rich in decorations (it is a pity it is often surround by any kind of renovation works)
