BOOTH
17th century cloister built by Jeanne Françoise Talleyrand, Princess of Chalais, to be visited during the Heritage Days
Following the destruction of the original priory during the Wars of Religion, the cloister was built in the 17th century by Jeanne Françoise Talleyrand, Princess of Chalais. After several restorations and various uses, it is now the property of the Chalais retirement home, and is not open to the public. It is exceptionally open for certain events, such as the Salon des Antiquaires and the Salon des Métiers d'Art in early November. It is also a must-visit site for the Journées du Patrimoine (Heritage Days) held in September.
