Châteauneuf-sur-Charente's limestone cliffs are a favorite with rock-climbing enthusiasts
Behind this unusual name lies a limestone cliff site that rock-climbing enthusiasts flock to at weekends. Similar to the Eaux Claires site at Puymoyen near Angoulême, but with an easier climbing level, the Font qui Pisse is ideal for beginners.
This site features a singular geological landscape and takes its name from the spring that gushes out of the hollow of a fault. The many natural shelters bear witness to Paleolithic activity.
There are many beautiful walks to be enjoyed here in a listed biotope.
