This church is built of limestone with a soft golden sheen
This 12th-century church, listed as a historic monument in 1920, is built of limestone with a soft golden sheen. Its harmonious proportions can be admired from the cemetery gate just up the road, as well as the sobriety of its Romanesque architectural style. The steeple is compact, massive and pierced by arcatures. The church has a single nave and a semicircular apse. Historically, the church was visited by Calvin, who found refuge with the parish priest of Claix, for whom he had been tutor.
