COGNAC CAMUS
Go there and contact
In the 1860s, Jean-Baptiste Camus created a group of farmers to whom he gave his name. Camus cognac quickly made its debut at Café de Paris and at Savoy in London... and even at the court of the Russian tsar! The prestige of the brand is partly linked to the passion of its founder who supervised the distillation and aging of his cognac himself. His great-grandson, Jean-Paul, continues this tradition of proximity between man and product. There is no fuss at Camus: The house defends a beautiful authenticity that crosses generations since 130 years. The house has always been founded on the Camus family's own property, at Château de Plessis, in the heart of the vineyards, with about 100 hectares of vineyards in Grande Champagne and in the Borderies. T This house is on the fifth position on the cognac market. These passionate winegrowers have established and maintained an exceptional know-how. Do not hesitate to go there to discover a place out of time and to share a refined meal with of course a tasting of the greatest cognacs... You will find for example, the XO Elegance, the VSOP Elegance or the extremely rare ranges... There are three types of visits: the Classic visit where you will taste one of the Camus cognacs of superior quality (Ile de Ré Fine Island Cliffside Cellar, XO Elégance or XO Borderies); the Connaisseur visit which focuses on 2 qualities of Borderies or 3 qualities of Ile de Ré or Essentiels and the Raresimes visit where several vintage cognacs from the Raressimes range are tasted.
