MUSEUM OF OSTENSIONS
Museum featuring the parish priest's bedroom and high altar rooms, where various objects are on display, including priestly vestments.
The museum, housed on the second floor of the former presbytery, features a wealth of sacred objects preserved by the parish's various priests.
In several rooms - the parish priest's bedroom, the high altar rooms - some 500 objects are compiled, along with a display of priestly vestments, for a plunge back in time to a time when religion was an integral part of daily life. Esse and Abzac were the only parishes to perpetuate a century-old tradition of displaying the relics of Limousin saints to popular devotion every seven years.
