COGNAC F. PEYROT
The vineyard of Bergeronnettes consists today of 25 hectares of vines that were planted in Grande Champagne 1er Cru de Cognac. Its establishment bears a family history whose know-how is transmitted to the next generations. In 1971, the parents decided to launch their own brand and in July 1971 they sold their very first bottle (a VSOP) under the name "Cognac François Peyrot". François le Père who is an artisan liquorist, has also developed (in 1970) a wide range of Grande Champagne cognac liquors. They are made naturally and result from a skilful blend of natural fruit aromas and cognac. The Williams Pear Liquor - the most famous and most awarded one - requires the use of 14 kg of Williams per bottle! The visit successively reveals the vine and its grape varieties, the press, the winery and the ageing cellars. There is also a small museum within the shop, which describes namely cooperage craftmanship. Note that this estate offers free parking for camping-cars.
