BOOTH
Cloister of the XIVth century with church, making us go back to the History of France and the time when the religious orders were powerful
In the 14th century, Seigneur de La Rochefoucauld founded the convent of the Carmelite order, responsible for the instruction of young people. During the Wars of Religion, the site was looted and burned, and the Carmelites expelled, before being able to return to the site in the 17th century.
A self-guided tour of the cloister reveals the Gothic style of the link, while admiring the stone staircases and the former church, now restored as an auditorium. Situated in the heart of the city, the cloister inspires calm and invites you to take a journey through history.
