LA VOIE VERTE
Along the eight kilometres of the old railway line, a flat, landscaped road, often bordered by trees or fields, awaits you! Accessible to all, the greenway attracts nature lovers, walkers, cyclists and also joggers all year round. First of all, you will dive into the heart of the city's little jewels with a fanfare start and the hall of the glass roofs of the Hôtel du parc, classified as a Historic Monument. From an architectural point of view, look at the Hameau Bellevue, whose names are linked to Henri IV's love life, and continue in the middle of the greenery, marked by different tree species and explanatory panels on the fauna and flora of the Greenway. Bucolic as you wish, this walk, taken by many people taking the waters, takes you through the typical cultures of the country, including that of the Kiwis and the village of Castagnède, which are taking shape. You then continue your journey and cross the Eiffel-type metal bridge. This one allows you to cross the turbulent river and reach the old Escos station and its level crossing. You have just concluded one of the beautiful walks of the Béarn des Gaves!
