MANUFACTURE DEGORCE

Located in the Bandiat valley in Charente, the cradle of the Charentaise, the company has combined tradition and innovation to produce quality products. Its range of products is certified as Origine France Garantie. Its know-how is recognized by the label Entreprise du patrimoine vivant.
History. Manufacture Degorce was founded in 1962 in Marthon, in the Bandiat valley in Charente. It was taken over by Marc Vargogne, a former printer in 2013. Specializing in the manufacture of footwear, particularly carpenters, the company has chosen to rejuvenate the historical slipper by applying the sewn-back technique to more trendy, comfortable and eco-responsible shapes. Its "New Age" charentaises benefit from noble and qualitative materials. In addition, she collaborates with the design studio Zamak to design innovative models. In receivership following the death of its manager, Marc Vagogne, the company was acquired in September 2017 by Emilie and Edgar Dutreil.
The products. Its range of Charentaises is produced with natural materials, such as felt, leather and wool. The Estives tennis shoes are made of cotton canvas and their sole is made of bio-sourced PVC. The "Raban" model is also made of leather and cotton canvas. Degorce also produces mules, slippers and ballerinas.
