SAINT MARTIN'S CHURCH
Church with sober wooden pews occupying a light nave, with a high altar in Beaumont stone licked over an altarpiece
The church was rebuilt in the 17th century, following damage caused by war. But how old is it? No one knows! Pebble and cobble walls, a square, five-storey bell tower, and a motto on the dial in the Basque language: "All hours hurt man, the last one sends him to the grave". Inside, sober wooden benches occupy a light nave, while the choir, entirely rebuilt in the 19th century, has been remodeled. Raised as in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, with a Beaumont stone high altar set on an altarpiece.
