At the gates of Cognac, near the abbey of Châtre, the dolmen de Garde-Sword is surrounded by funerary karst dating from the Neolithic era. The entablature consists of two stones supported by 5 other stones metres high. On the other hand, the stone located a few metres, called the Cow's Head is not the work of a Cro-Magnon'gendarmophobe ', but that of nature that carved a beef figure into an erratic bloc.
