OLD BRIDGE
Go there and contact
Dating back to the century, this emblematic bridge links the two banks of Confolens, giving a glimpse of the town and the countryside.
An emblematic link between the two shores of Confolens, the Pont Vieux (Old Bridge) is not looking its age. Originally fortified in the 13th century, it later lost its three defensive towers. Passing from one bank to the other, you can see the terraces of the houses lining the Vienne, the gardens on several levels, the town and nature sharing the landscape on the borders of the Charente and Limousin regions. You can also see the town's last gate, the porte du gué, which marks the presence of the passage du gué, which predates the bridge.
