COGNAC FRAPIN
Frapin is a family estate which extends over 340 hectares in the heart of Grande Champagne - 1er Cru de Cognac, including 240 hectares of vines (Ugni - white). Their grapes that are produced in reasoned culture, are then pressed without filtration to give this Charente wine by natural fermentation. It is then distilled a first time with the lees in the 6 Charentais stills of red copper to give the "brouillis" which will be distilled again to give the "bonne chauffe". These newly distilled brandies are kept in century-old cellars. Each winery has its own function and particularity. The discovery visit which is available all year round by prior appointment, will first reveal the very ancient history of the Frapin family which counts among its illustrious ancestors, no less, the famous Rabelais ! Then a presentation of the vineyard, distillation before visiting several wineries including a cellar Paradise. The visit ends in the cellar master's tasting room to taste the range (excluding exceptional decanters). At the end of the visit, the visitors can find in the shop the different vintages of the house in order to prolong the Frapin experience.
