A true corner of paradise, where the turquoise water almost merges with the sky... no need to go to the end of the world: the Touvérac pond is located less than 50 kilometers south-west of Angoulême! Formerly mined, the kaolin quarries are now classified as a Natural Zone of Ecological, Faunistic and Floristic Interest. A signposted walking trail takes you through these exotic landscapes and their rich vegetation. Please note, however, that as the area is protected and there is a real risk of drowning, swimming is prohibited. So you'll just have to enjoy it with your eyes!
