PRINCE DE CONDÉ'S PYRAMID
The Pyramide's Pyramid is located on the road between Bassac and Elected. It was erected in 1818 on the place where Louis I of Bourbon-Condé, Prince of Condé, found death during the battle of Elected. During this battle on March 13, 1569, the Duke of Anjou, the future King Henry III won victory over the Protestant troops. This pyramid recalls that religious wars have huguenots and Catholic torn asunder. Explanatory panels remind you of the event and a guidance table control the horizon. Behind the pyramid, you will see a small pond with blue reflections with picnic tables. Perfect for a relaxing lunch.
