Restaurant with terrace and idyllic view in Ars-en-Ré.

This restaurant has a very pleasant location, right next to a cycle path. As you enter this former oyster shack, you'll be delighted to be able to sit on the terrace and admire the idyllic view of the marshes and the famous Fier d'Ars. The welcome is pleasant, the service efficient and the menu willingly turns to the sea. Enjoy the house specialty, the famous Charentaise chowder, a leg of monkfish with garlic, fish rillettes or a lean meat terrine. Meat lovers won't be disappointed, either, with old-fashioned veal kidneys and gourmet desserts such as chocolate croquant and poached pear with caramel fleur de sel. Add to this a wide selection of wines from all regions of France, as well as current favorites. There's no doubt that this restaurant is one of the places to remember on a bike tour or for anyone discovering the Ile de Ré.

even if the dishes in general are good and the very friendly surroundings (view of the oyster park) remains despite disappointed welcome waiters (which forgot us during 30min during our arrival).

It seems that the staff more welcoming to patrons rather than new arrivals! too bad
