They are called Bilbo, Mundaka, Baztan, Txindoki... They are makilas, a new generation that combines tradition and new technologies. This typical Basque stick was designed by "Xabaltx", Pantxoa Bergara, a well-known cultural and economic personality in the Basque Country. Respectful of tradition and coming from a long line of manufacturers, Pantxoa Bergara is also committed to making traditional medlar makilas.
