COCHAIN & FILS
One of the growing values of the region… Christian Cochain, besides black judo belt, presides over the destiny of this property of the Gironde rim, which produces cognac and also pineau, but also some wines from woven countries, original cocktails and even this vendéen aperitif bearing the charming name of troussepinette. But we are here in the Charente: cognac side, the house proposes XXX, VSOP and Napoleon for very affordable prices and, for the most demanding, a magnificent old reserve of 1972 in a bottle sealed to wax. In the area of pineau, there are white and rosé, 4 and 8 years of age, ideally fruity to be served fresh to the aperitif, but also to less well-known bottles, 30 years old, which accompany the meals very well. If needed, the gold flavor awarded by the region attests to the quality of the work carried out on these slopes, soft and overflowing of sun, of Chenac.
