Church of classical and Romanesque style located in the center of the village, built in grey limestone rubble and ashlar
Situated at the heart of an alley in the village, Saint-André church is mentioned at the end of the 14th century, but was destroyed during the Wars of Religion. Rebuilt in the 17th century, the building was enlarged in the following century, and its wooden altarpiece was restored in 1977. The church is built of grey limestone rubble and ashlar, in a classical Romanesque style. It is distinguished by its saintongeais bell tower, the only one on the island, and its magnificent stained glass windows. It offers a moment of calm in the heart of the village.
