If you want to set foot in Aix, there's only one thing to do: take the boat. In Fouras, the pier is located at the Pointe de la Fumée, just a few minutes from the Grande Plage and the casino. It's the perfect opportunity to take a trip to this crescent of land in the heart of the Charente archipelago. A ship makes the crossing all year round. Attention aux parcmètres du parking de l'embarcadère
La traversée, la visite de l'île sont absolument à faire. Par contre attention aux parcmètres du parking payant de l'embarcadère : Ils sont archaïques et très lents. Il nous a fallu 1/2 heure pour obtenir un ticket (en payant en liquide après 2 essais par carte bancaire refusés). Plusieurs personnes devant nous ont décidé de ne pas payer le parking pour ne pas rater le bac ...
Take a boat to the island of Aix. You will not regret it and island on foot. That takes only 2 hours! this island is part of the 50 most beautiful islands in the world! then all the tip of the smoke Fouras. For a little history, I personally flunked the last boat there is already many years, and the solution is to spend the night at the hotel Napoleon, if it is full, the inhabitants of the island will not let you spend the night on the beach, unless you run it and that time lends itself to it.
