Built to protect the Rochefort Arsenal, the fort now offers guided tours of its exterior.
Like the other forts, this edifice was built at the end of the 17th century to protect the Rochefort Arsenal. Remodeled after an English attack, it was then sold by the State before being purchased by a private individual. Today, only guided tours of the fort's exterior are organized by the Association des Amis de la Pointe. Events are organized throughout the year, including concerts and musical evenings in summer. It is also possible to rent the fort for receptions.
