LA CONSERVERIE
Restauran-auberge offering traditional dishes in Hiers-Brouage.
For the past two years, this restaurant-inn has been offering a charming stopover in the heart of the Brouage citadel. Florence and Claude will give you a warm welcome, making you want to settle down in the room with its country atmosphere. In fine weather, there's no question of staying indoors! We will sit on pretty tables in the garden where aromatic herbs used by the chef grow. The menu is short and filled with traditional dishes prepared with fresh, seasonal products. As a starter, don't miss the nettle soup carefully prepared by Florence and simmering gently on the stove. As for the dishes, the owners do honour to their region of origin, highlighting the Dordogne: duck breast, omelette with ceps and the famous roasted camembert with onion confit. The dishes are hearty and rich in flavour!
