GUIDED TOURS OF THE FORTIFIED VILLAGE
Secrets of the fortified village: The fortified village, whose plan was lifted in 1669 by Vauban, is a vast settlement, in which the Benedictine priory of the th century was incorporated, with streets drawn on the feet of the goose in order to be controlled by the artillery pieces of the fort de la Harbour. It is under the First and Second Empire that most military works are erected, including the village's bastionné rampart (1860) and the coastal batteries - from Coudepont, Bois Joly, Tridoux, Jamblet… - to prohibit the enemy from any attempt at disembarkation. Take the time to visit the village. Use the discovery route. Please contact the Tourist office
