A fort you can visit by boat, catamaran or cruise ship, and get up close to the silhouette of Père Fouras

This stone vessel is one of the symbols of the Charente-Maritime region. Featured on a television program, this fortification on the edge of the Charente archipelago is not open to visitors. However, you'll have plenty of time to admire it and get up close to it on a cruise to the Ile d'Aix. Departures are mainly from Fouras, but you can also board a ship from La Rochelle, Ile d'Oléron, Ré and even Rochefort. Take advantage of the explanations given as you pass by the building.

Admirer Fort Boyard depuis le bateau de croisière
Le Fort Boyard est très aisé à découvrir et photographier lors d’une croisière à l’Ile d’Aix, c’est même l’un des endroits stratégiques de la croisière. Le personnel du bateau donne toutes les explications nécessaires pour comprendre l’histoire de ce fort jusqu’à son intégration dans un célèbre programme de télévision. J’ai entre autres retenu que ce fort serait prévu pour abriter un musée et devenir accessible aux visites d’ici environ 4 ans : cela m’intéresserait et me plairait beaucoup d’en découvrir l’intérieur dans quelques années, si ce projet se réalise. Pour l’instant, la visite n’est encore qu’extérieure mais déjà très appréciable !

C'est une belle balade autour du Fort. c'est impressionnant à voir d'aussi proche. Le seul souci c'est qu'on ne puisse pas le visiter!

Ballade en bateau pour aller admirer le fort boyard. Très belle ballade. Nous apprenons beaucoup de choses intéressantes avec le guide. On s'approche suffisamment proche pour bien le voir.
