Renowned for its Vauban fortifications, Ré is also home to the Fort de la Prée, the island's oldest military structure. Built during the reign of Louis XIII, it was listed as a historic monument in 2008. Occupied by the German army during the Second World War, then transformed into a vacation camp, it is now open to the public. Whether you're interested in a guided or self-guided tour, you can discover this monument at your own pace. And why not dress up as a musketeer or take part in the Escape Game.
