In La Rochelle, the ocean is never far away. While the people of La Rochelle love to stroll along the Vieux Port, many also take the Bus de mer, an easy link between the city center and the Minimes district. It's a great way to get to an area renowned for its many restaurants, its famous ice cream parlour and its beach. From the pier, located at the foot of the Chaîne tower, the boat offers a 20-minute mini-cruise. Quiet and environmentally-friendly, the Sea Bus is a great way to get around, especially during the summer months.

Living with Tiny, we like many catch the bus wall regularly, especially with children or visitors to reach the city. The bus arrive here more quickly, but the sea is very pleasant, there is an attractive view over the city, the staff is pleasant and the boat. Beware of the hours and low tides however, there are sometimes disappointments. All information is available on site RTCR check.
To get to the beach from the city centre, it is ideal, not to take your car. With the bus, you can breathe! It is always pleasant to go on a 'boat' for a few minutes and cross the ocean.
