Italian cuisine in a restaurant with terrace in La Rochelle.
Why not treat yourself to some Italian specialities today? If you feel like it, head for rue Saint-Nicolas. We love the setting, a peaceful alleyway and, of course, the terrace, ideal for sunny days. We'd like to advise you to make a reservation, but it's not possible. Our only advice is to come early if you want a seat. What a pleasure to be in a room decorated with red banquettes, wooden tables and the inevitable products straight from Italy. We particularly like the machine that slices the thin slices of local ham that are placed on the pizzas. Le Petit Futé recommends that you choose one. Each one is both thin and crispy, and made with organic wheat flour. All are really very good, like the Speck (gorgonzola, mozzarella, speck) or the Courgette Coppa. The IGP Gragnano pasta is also worth trying, as it is prepared with the utmost care. Alongside the essential Spaghetti Bolognese, you'll find handmade stuffed pasta and two-cheese tagliatelle made with organic free-range eggs. With friends, you're sure to want to try the charcuterie platters with Parma ham, mortadella, coppa... If the dishes are hearty, don't leave without devouring a dessert. The profiteroles are huge, but you can also indulge in a lemon frosting, a Belle-Hélène pear or a vacherin.
