LE P’TIT BLEU
Gourmet address to enjoy fresh seafood on the terrace.
It's not really a restaurant, but a concept that's unique to La Rochelle: an old rowboat set up opposite the Cours des Dames, just a few meters from the famous towers. You won't want to miss it! A former oyster-farmer, the manager offers a simple way to sample some of his own oysters. There's no need for big cutlery or elaborate dishes: people come here above all to devour the freshest fish. All you have to do is choose your dish, pay the bill and then take a seat on the terrace with its iodized atmosphere. We'll gladly overlook the somewhat rudimentary comforts to enjoy the view and savor fish cooked a la plancha. Meat lovers beware! Here you can enjoy grilled sardine fillets, prawns, langoustines, squid or gambas. The house specialty? Mussels en papillotes! The only accompaniment is bread with butter. Le Petit Futé recommends that you accompany your meal with a glass of Muscadet sur Lie or Saumur Champigny. Open non-stop during the summer season, this is the ideal place to take an oceanic break.

Y déguster sur place ou à emporter des gambas ou des sardines grillées, des fruits de mer, accompagné d'une boisson.
Ca reste une cuisine simple (grillades uniquement.
Dommage que lorsqu'on mange sur place, les couverts soient jetables...
