It's already 10 years since this restaurant moved from the Minimes district to the charming Saint-Nicolas neighborhood, a stone's throw from the Old Port. Three spaces await you: the terrace in the heart of a lively street, the pleasant dining room overlooking the kitchen, and the more intimate upstairs. What we appreciate most here is the warm welcome and dynamic service. At lunchtime, take advantage of the value-for-money menu, featuring the fresh market cuisine of chef Stéphanie Penou.

Déçu. J'y suis allé plusieurs fois et je ne suis jamais sorti emballé. La cuisine est bonne sans plus. L'ensemble se veut bistronomique mais se révèle prétentieux. Bref, aussitôt dégusté, aussitôt oublié! On peut trouver beaucoup mieux pour le même prix.

Déçu, que dire à un serveur qui est agréable, quand il nous demande si cela c'est bien passé ??? à part, on a mangé, voilà. Restaurant cher et plats quelconques, pour ma part du boulgour (wahou trop original!!!) et une seiche sans saveur posé entière à même l'assiette et dure , bien loin des bonnes petites seiches à l'espagnole persillés et grillé à la plancha, qu'on peut déguster d'ailleurs dans un autre endroit à la Rochelle et pour un prix bien plus abordable. Une fois réglé la note, pas de merci , ni d'au revoir de personne, bien trop pris par leurs discussions , bien plus important que le client semble t'il. Aujourd'hui à chaque fois que je parle de ce restaurant et que j'oublie son nom, je parle du boulgour, et là on me dit, à c'est le prao, il semble que nous sommes quelques uns à avoir été très décu;

The Prao was discovered by the restaurant of the few that we loved very much with its small terrace in the beautiful days. Other atmosphere of St Nicolas, less cosy but very sophisticated garden and on the other hand even kitchen you enjoy. Good fresh products, a card that changes regularly.
