Seasonal cuisine based on fresh produce in a restaurant near the port in La Rochelle
This restaurant is one of the oldest addresses on rue Saint-Jean du Pérot. It enjoys a pleasant location, close to the port, in a pretty cobbled street known to gastronomes. The welcome is friendly, the room cosy and comfortable. At lunch, go to the terrace and benches on the ground floor, at dinner take the time to go to the first floor by taking a magnificent staircase. The cuisine combines regional specialities with more inventive dishes always prepared with fresh and seasonal ingredients. Two menus are available as well as a formula, allowing everyone to enjoy themselves. As a starter, you will discover a crispy Saint-Marcellin with candied gizzards, a homemade fish soup or a tuna carpaccio with smoked oil and basil. The professional service allows you to enjoy a pleasant transition to dishes that combine seafood products such as cod steak snacked with tandoori sauce and tomato risotto and meat such as roasted duck breast with spices. Desserts will delight the gourmands as evidenced by the financier with diplomat cream or the cheesecake with lemon and speculos.
